Figlets in November?

Hi All,
I received some potted figs plants at the beginning of this year. I live in the east Bay Area by Oakland, Ca. My figs plants just started developing some figs. I'm reading through some of the topics here and it seems like plants are beginning to go dormant to prepare for winter. Any ideas what's going on with these guys? Is it normal for the figs to develop at this time? I think one is a desert king, Adriatic, and kadota. Thanks!

California had some late heat this year. It almost seems like two plus spring times. Chances are we will get some cold weather soon and unless your plants are in a green house the leaves will drop and the fruit will refuse to ripen and eventually fall off. Many healthy one year plants will develop fruit. You may want to remove the fruits to encourage whatever growth is left to go into the plant instead of into the fruit. Hard to do, I know but you will be rewarded next spring with better growth. I went to school in both Oakland and San Leandro back in the 1970's.  Good luck with your figgies.

Thanks NoelG_123!
