If anyone is interested in buying a Figo Preto, I just posted one for sale on ebay.  I currently have 4 Figo Preto trees so I figured this would be a good way to recoup some expenses.  Thanks for your time and please post here if you have any questions.

Sue Vanessa-  I'm pretty sure that's her name.  She was the one who discovered the original Figo Preto tree in Point Loma, CA.  She sent me some cuttings from the original tree and I used them to grow the tree up for auction.  I put the initials of who I got my cuttings from on the pots to better identify them.

Preto is a very slow grower. What is the size of the tree. Also can we just order it straight from you...???

Where in Point Loma, CA , was this tree discovered. Was it in a public park or a private yard ?

It's in a private yard of a Portuguese lady who passed away in the past year.  Figo Preto, Figo Branco, and Abebereira are all in the same yard and were brought here 50 or so years ago.

Didn't take long to go out of my price range. Good luck to the winner!  It's going to be a long week for this one.

Hi Armando, the tree is two feet tall from the soil line.  Thank you for asking.

Ok Charkie, I was the Hi bidder. The key word is was. But for almost one minute. I don't think luck is needed in this game. But good luck anyway.

Those of us in CA can't participate in most of the ebay auctions for prized figs, so this one might have a larger audience. I hope you do well with it, padsfan.
