Patience my young fig padawan! They will come! Lol
I was where u were 3 yrs ago, they grow so fast! What zone u in? My Black Madeira has about a dozen figs on it this year as well, and my preto has a couple starting also! My panache is in its second year has over a dozen figs, these trees are amazing, my rdb was a airlayer from last season, and it has 50 figs on no BS, that rdb is 6 ft tall and just as wide! The growth is incredible on that tree! Totally get one if u don't have one!

I'm about 20 minutes outside Denver, CO. Just started this year collecting figs. Been a real struggle seeing most of the forum members here having "brebras" "main crops" "taste like a strong berry flavor". - lol 😂

Bad zone for figs! U have a green house? I'm telling you I'm ready to move from south nj to Southern California just for my figs! Lol. Have you tried any fresh off the tree varieties yet? And I'm not talking brown turkey! If so which ones

tell me about it...playing the fig shuffle now.  I got hooked onto figs during a vacation trip to Mexico, couldn't tell you what varieties they were.  So that's how i got started collecting.  The plan is to purchase a green house before next growing season, so sometime in Jan/Feb. focus on growing the ones i have now and hope for the best next season.

Oh no! It's still that cold? At night I assume? You def need some early varieties, def get 100% a Ronde de Bordeaux, I already have medium size figs on that tree, and try DK for the early breba crop! Ronde de Bordeaux are in my top 5 favorites OMG are they good! I'd have to say in this order I have an #1unknown I call a Scarlett fig #2 my Angelos dark, #3 panache #4 RdB #5 negronne
Please note: I have but haven't had fruit from my Black Madeira, my figo preto, my I-258 or my CdDG, this year I will get fruit from them all! So my list will prob change!
And believe it or not I had fruit from a few trees, that I would consider BLAH! I gave all those trees away need room for doubles and triples of my top five of course! Lol
I successfully rooted 3 Angelos dark, 3 panache, only one of those Scarlett ones very sad! I lost all of my CdDG cuttings like 15, and I rooted 5 RdB!
What varieties do u have?

Man you're making me jealous I have 2 brebas and nothing else growing on other trees but leaves

Cuttings this year I have rdb, dk, Osborne polific, panache, vdb, Chicago hardy, brown turkey, kadota, violate de sollies, mbvs, lsu purple -bought some real nice plants from tyro...black Madeira and preto. I better get some darn fruit next year!

My panache, vds and mbvs may not make the up pot. I think I have a good shot of the rdb making it.

I literally just got 2 pretos from tyro as well! With figs on them! They need such a long summer tho! I started my Madeira in February, I have figs now, so I should be eating them by august! And the preto has figs that are prob 40 days old or so, I'll be eating them by late June /July!
Other than the tyro trees, u have any other well rooted ones? There is a huge meet up in pa next week at bass's I can't wait to see what is available like 40+ fig guys going, I'll be picking up a col de Dama roja, and another I-258 and hopefully a bunch of others! U should totally go only a couple thousand miles for ya! lol!
It's going to be awesome

That would be cool to visit and exchange figs. Make sure u get some good ones and give me cuttings down the road please 👌. My kadota is the only one that I will get logs this year. We will see if they ripe at all.

It was amazing!!! I added 9 new trees, I put a post up a few hrs ago it says Haul from bass's
Most notable Galicia negra, soccoro black, a pink Jerusalem, another black Madeira, and an I-258, to name a few also picked up a large Malta black 35 with about 50 figs on it, got a green Jordan, JH Adriatic, and I think a few other can't remember right now!
But is was such an awesome time

differently looks like you made out like a bandit.  nice figs added to collection.

Now I'm jealous I couldn't make it. Might have to drive to Toms River and get some middle of the night figs. 😂
