I have several varieties from Andreas that are common type that grow bigger than a quarter not swelling but have slight color change than fall off. Look like foam inside. Have anyone else had this problem. Have them in pots. They have never went dormant either because of greenhouse. Two years old perhaps three. Thanks Richie

What cultivars specifically is this happening with?

The older they get the less likely they are to drop. For example my Celeste that are in ground, are about four years old. Last year and the year before they dropped quite a bit of small fruit before ripening. This year I've had minimal fruit drop. No fertilizer even.

I have a few that are on your list. P Aspra Sika are not ripening, but nothing is falling off. It took Pink Jerusalem 3 years for mine to hold the Fruit and produce. Perhaps they need time.

I believe there is more to the story of these supposed common Greek figs.

Don’t see anyone posting pics of ripe fruit ..... seems I’m getti. a large collection of trees that may need the wasp.

I think it is best to wait 3-4 years before concluding which varieties are common or not. Even with the presence of wasps, most of my fruit from Greek and Turkish varieties dropped off until the 3rd or 4th growing season. Some trees were 6-8' tall last year and of good size but did not mature their fruit but did this year. I don't know why. I am hoping to remove the few wild caprifigs near my orchard this next year and temporarily relocated my potted caprifigs to help assess which varieties are not common types.

Unfortunately figs get passed around too quickly before they can be properly verified as to cultivar and type.
Agree with Harvey you need to wait to find out.
Worst case scenario you may end up with a lot f root stock .
Has anyone tried importing the fig wasp to LA?
