Finally seeing potential in this unknown

Mt. Etna type...sorta similar to Hardy Chicago, but ripening earlier then HS this year by about a week and a half.  Brought overseas by my Great Grandfather, grown in-ground in the Pittsburgh area for many years, then transplanted to my parents' house not far away where it's been growing as long as I've been alive (almost 40 years).  Never saw a single fig on it but it came back every year despite no fertilizing, no winter protection, and no where near full sun.  It's the most tough-as-nails fig I've ever come across.

Wow... almost 40 years of growth and never saw a fig on it.... before this year?  That's dedication to a variety for sure...  Looks like the fruits of your longth wait are rapidly going to reward you. Congratulations!

Sorry I guess that statement was a little unclear.  It's been growing without producing a fig at my folks' house for the 40 years; until I took a cutting and that is the tree in the pic at my house.  I think this is it's 4th year...and the first decently ripe fig I've ever seen from it.
