Florea pics

I finally got to try my first Florea figs in the last couple of days.
They were good to eat.
I had to bring them in the house to fully ripen because the racoons were in my backyard eating my grapes.
The only figs that ripened for me here this summer were in order, Bayernfeige violetta, Niagara Black and then Florea. No greenhouse at all.

Nice pics Sammy. That looks very tasty. Hopefully I'll have some next year :)

Ripe figs in Thessalon. My hats off to you.

Enjoy em...you earned it.

They look very nice!

A very nice looking fig. A bet the raccoons are disappointed.

Congrats!  Good thought protecting them from the raccoons.

Were the earlier figs brebas?  I don't know of any main crop fig earlier here than Florea.

Good looking, espesially for zone 4.
Could you tell how old and productive this Florea tree?
What is the pot size?

Bayernfeige violetta had breba only? Is it productive for breba? (Age, quantity, taste).

Sorry for so many questions :)

Hi Sammy,
congrats !
Funny, how the two bottom figs are off for Florea, but the top one is spot on ...
Their shape is just so different !

~very nice looking tree and fig, looks delicsh too ~thanks for sharing i have two florea trees next year i will let them fig ~

congrats! Good Job! I had a few also! Tasty Figs!

jrdewhirst,  I'm thinking that the two figs to ripen earlier were brebas as the Florea didn't set it's figs till later in the summer.

Serge, This is the second season for my Florea  and the pot size is 2 gallons but some roots did make it in to the ground. It's productive so far for me, the only one that does better so far is petite negri. The Bayernfeige is two years old and wants to produce figs at a young age compared to others. The Bayernfeige probably had a breba as the main crop is on it now.

Look at that!  They look great! I also see an olive tree in the background :-D  You do good!
