Get some ripe figs, expand the bottom hole, stuff with your finger into the open hole with a little feta or goat cheese, wrap the fig with a slice of prosciutto and put a few of them on a skewer and barbq on high for 2 min then flip over for another 2 min and tell me how you like em. Grew up eating that for last 50 something years in Astoria NY. Now in NC.

Hi,
The idea looks good, but my figs are just too good to mix their taste with something else.
Perhaps this year, I'll have enough figs to start playing and do such tests and jam too.
Man, I already swallowed 6 pots of fig jam this winter. Perhaps a side effect of the forum .
Looking at photos of figs and reading about ripe figs, just gets me crazier at them and since the best bet here is jam ...
Don't tell me about fig jam and cheese - Just fig jam on small milk-bread . Hummmm ... What did I take this morning at breakfast ... Fig jam and milk-bread I said !
