I have a nicely rooted Galicia Negra plant that I'd like to trade for a Cavaliere Fig plant. Any takers?

I think it was a given name by a F4F member.

I believe it's a real cultivar from Italy, not a made up name.

It appears when you do a search:

http://viaggiatore971.blogspot.pt/2015/09/ficus-carica-cavaliere.html

http://www2.ars-alimentaria.it/Prodotto?idProdotto=3088152&onlyForRegione=&onlyForProvincia=

It' also in the F4F database although it doesn't have much information about it.

We also have a Cavaleiro fig in Portugal (the same name in our language) but it appears to have no relationship with the Italian Cavaliere.

Francisco has published photos of our Cavaleiro in this thread (another beautiful fig, good for anyone wishlist) - http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/figo-cavaleiro-6531966?highlight=cavaleiro&pid=1279622926
