Beautiful! It seems the skin is very thin.
I assume it is a Common too?
This name, is that how a nursery calls it?

Looks like a super fig. Greco Nero = Greek Black is it similar or same as the Black Greek in circulation in USA?

Francisco thank you my friend you have some of the best figs so coming from you is very high praise. Pino the greek black that is in the states got that name by accident. when you ask a greek on what type of fig they have or like, you will never get a name they will just say black or white. so greek black is an unknown black greek fig, its not named that way.

Vlad, Marabout is a smyrna type, as you surely know. Andreas has posted on Facebook that Greco Nero is believed to be a common type. The Marabout in the video appear to all have much larger eyes than the Greco Nero. What do you mean about who is right? Is there a question somewhere?

Vladis this is a guy from bulgaria he has contacted me through facebook for cuttings. this fig that you are showing on the video is a smyrna fig named marabout. that is a fig that ships well and holds well for markets. this fig that i am showing is like i said new to me but as far as i know its not the same as marabout. it looks similar but its not it. it has no shelf life so it cant make it to the markets its great for home, fresh use, very thin skin and very juicy. i will try and show some more pictures... i dont have many more good ones. i do know of one more type of greek fig that looks like this. i will try and get some pictures of the other type as well, and as soon i can add a watermark ill post them as well.

1. Harvey, eye figs can be increased due to excessive humidity and lots of wasps kaprifig. 2. Question to Adreasu. Have you checked the seeds of figs, figs are pollinated?

Vlad, I have not seen eye size increase because of wasps unless the eye splits like in some of the figs in the video from the guy in Bulgaria. I have not heard of eye size increasing because of excess humidity but the figs in that video would likely have been spoiled if excess humidity was an issue since some were split. These figs do not appear the same, IMO.
I don't recall the characteristic if Marabout at Wolfskill but the eye on all of my Marabout C. Smyrna are larger than any of the figs Andreas is showing. Humidity at my location is always low during the fig season.

I don't have too much to add other than high humidity will increase eye size on some of my figs, Sodus Sicilian in particular.

Harvey, my assumption based on the fact that I made inquiries a year ago, a man named -Georgy Goshev. His business is based on the resale of the plant material from Greece. In Bulgaria, Georgi Goshev name virtually unknown.
