What is a louisiana heirloom fig?  I heard this often before, I don't quite understand, I know family heirloom fig, meaning one that has been in the family or bred by a certain family, is Louisiana heirloom like a fig specially bred in louisiana for louisiana conditions or one that came from there period?  Just a question.  I never heard of any other state heirlooms. ciao Cecil.

Hi Maggie,
I guess a La. Heirloom fig has the same meaning as an Italian Heirloom fig except it was brought to La. from where ever the Cajuns and Creole people came from originally????
