I came across an interesting fig these days while visiting my village.Emerged from the stone walls.
Here is how you are feeding?How to find water?Out of a house in ruins, stone walls.Very interesting.

There must be a lot of moisture there if moss is able to grow.

Great picture. It is amazing how tough fig trees can be.
We took these pictures in Zafra, Extremadura Spain  (approx GPS 38.41974,-6.417239    image of Irene with cat to show the scale of the sidewalk square pattern)

The fig tree was growing out of a small crack between a building and the sidewalk. There was nothing but hardscape (buildings, sidewalks, streets) for at least 100 feet in any direction, so I have no idea how it got there
