How's my first air layer looking?

Should I leave it or take it off?
It's a RdB and it's the first one I've done,
It's been on since may1st
Please let me know!
Thanks

looks good so far, I'm new at this as well and I would say the longer you can leave it on to produce roots the better. I would probably let the roots get bigger and stronger to make transition easier for the tree. AGAIN, I'm new so don't take my word on it!!

Justin,

The next one that you place try to use the same media in the layer that you will pot into.
The sphagnum does accelerate rooting due to it's acidic nature but makes transition difficult
due to the sphagnum wicking water around the crown, potentially causing rot.

Oh wow! Thanks Tyro makes total sense, can't I just plant the whole mass?
Thanks

You can,but you'll only want to water the outside margins of the pot,the spag will wick moisture into
the center.
