Well it's no Dall'Osso, but my VdB produced a double fig :) I vaguely remember someone (Jon?) mentioning their VdB will occasionally produce a double fig. This is the first one on my tree.

My Panache once had a double. Any fruit can do this, but it's usually fairly rare.

It happens from time to time. Some varieties are more prone and weather seems to play a role, as well.

Mine does this, produces some side-by-side doubles (looks like testes), and even occasionally produces 2 figs from a single node.

A lot of people put emphasis on popular/exotic cultivars, which is great because it highlights some of the better fig varieties; however, I am most interested in the figs our members love regardless of pedigree. Currently Growing: a bunch of varieties.

That's pretty cool, it's like getting a double scoop of ice cream on your cone :)
