He is doing for 42 years! 

Well, I may be lucky to try on a root stock i know to grow well. My plants are too young to make a full evaluation. I intend on continue playing with other varieties onto my Purple  and Adriatic (unknowns) that are good growers for us in the PNW.  It seems that my grafted  trees so far are doing much better than those rooted  by themselves.  

As the growing season is ending, it is time to reevaluate what is next step.
