Wow, I love red and grey skin Figs. I need this one and LSU Red. Love them both. Some great pics here.

Yes, it's a very pretty fig but the taste for me is disappointing: watery with a hint of sweetness but otherwise without much flavor at all. My little 1-2 year old tree has produced three figs so far. I think the only reason it could be popular besides being beautiful is that it has a sturdy skin that is easy to peel and would protect it for shipping and marketing. The bland taste would appeal to people who don't like figs. My MBVS and Unknown Pastillere were ripe at the same time and were so much more intense and better tasting even it they weren't as nice looking.
If it's the same next year, I'll need to find a new home for it.

Hello KK,

Can you please try to send me a PM. I tried again to send you a private message
on F4F. Not email.

Kind Regards,

Terrance

Mine was rooted in December 2014 and I sold extras but my tree produced quite a few figs for me this first year, I'd guess around 10.  I thought the flavor was pretty good, especially for a young tree.  The skin was not particularly thick on mine.

Rooted 3 last winter, no fruit yet.

If any one is looking for some of these cuttings, I have three extras. They are very easy to root, even for a yutz like me, so if you are a novice and practicing rooting and want some confidence, try this one. The fruit is very good, too. It is late in the NE, but it is a nice end to the season. PM me if interested in them. Thanks.

I rooted two of these from Harvey (thanks Harvey!), and I was wondering about the size of the eye on these. Looks like it might be a bit open for my humid climate, I hope it turns out well I think my israeli friends would love to try these
