Hi,
Of some 20 figs, 18 dropped. But two kept on hanging on.
Finally they started swelling some 10 days ago, and yesterday one started to have more color on the skin, and that triggered the harvest.
They had a taste on their own, refreshing, but what surprised me was the good texture and the lack of seed crunch. The skin was a bit thick but hey, it is 18th October !

Here are the pics :

Congratulation!
I haven't seen any ice crystal fig yet. I saw a lot of sites, and people but nobody had any pictures about this variety.
By the way, this variety has a very unique leaf shape. All I just can say its beautiful.

Interesting fig.
Looks like it needs a long season.  What is the native country of Crystal?

Never seen fruit before on this fig.

I believe it's from Afghanistan if not mistaken.

Nice dark red pulp - good work for getting a ripe fig from this one!

I was told by the person that gave it to me that it needed a long season but it would produce figs.... good to see proof, mine was too young this year to grow figs, but it sure is pretty.
