Please help ID this fig tree. I got it from a lady who said it was brought by her father from Karpenessi Greece. So far its been the first of my trees to leaf out and the last of my trees to loose leaves. Fruit taste is definitely in the honey flavor category. The eye seals up with honey too. It looks like the Stella/Vasilika sika(long fingers ). Run a search on those names and compare. Very nice looking figs. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

The original name of this fig is Dalmatie.
The tree was first found on Dalmatia coast,Dubrovnik area, and from there it found it's way in Greece Italy France ,etc, under the Dalmatie Name.
Here in the USA the fig was renamed,by a nursery in northwest, and took the name Stella.
Belleclare nursery called their Dalmatie ,Vasilika Sika, but of course ,as documented by Greek gardeners Vasilika Sika is a fig with a much shorter neck,so that is how it goes.
Delicious fig,is Dalmatie,and yes i have it.
