Nice to Hear you survived the bear :) and hope to see more pictures of your varieties.
Btw there is a good movie with dicaprio fighting a bear.

My  favorite bear movie is The Edge with Alec Baldwin and Anthony Hopkins.

When I rode my Harley to Alaska wherever there was a line from roadwork the bikes were supposed to ride to front of the line so they weren't just sitting in line exposed to bears. I arrived very late (I did not even cross into Canada until November) and was surprised at how many bears were wandering around,  -- that and how friggin huge moose really are !!

I lived in Alaska for 3 years and I can honestly agree with you Mike. I will add this, the noose in Alaska are 30℅ larger than those here in Maine.

Welcome back.  Like Dennis I am expanding my fruit growing to more than figs and have not been that active on the forum.  My computer is slowly falling apart which also makes it hard.  I'm getting ready to cut back my figs and start rooting them for the spring.
