--- Improved Brown Turkey

I wanted to get to my local nursery (Armstrong) today to place an order for this IBT (thanks Dennis for the nice photos!) but the rain is just too heavy, will try on Sunday.
I would prefer the online ordering but I am not sure who sells the IBT, I might call the nurseries on the Dave Wilson’s website.

Thanks George for clarifying.  Had I thought about it, I may have realized that English is not jdsfrance's native tongue.

i was cleaning out my hiking boots. my 9 yr old asked why i'm cleaning boots that will get dirty any way. i told him so i can have "improved brown boots"... i thought that was funny... at the time.

My 3rd season fig from my IBT fig.On the 1st & 2nd season most of the fig are quite bland or having a little bit tangy taste in it.but in this 3rd season the interior got nicer and mild sweet taste.some are even got honeydrop

Your Improved Brown Turkey fig looks a lot like my English Brown Turkey fig.

this fig is being grown commercially in Australia and it is an ok eating fig but not without its faults.
pros are that the figs are big, firm and store quite well so they are great for markets and fresh commercial sale. but the cons are that, the figs can be rather flavourless and spoil easily especially in areas where the fruit fly is active or when it rains, not to mention that even though the brebas are ok the main crop of the figs at the end of the season don't ripen in the cool of autumn and pretty much end up being discarded for being just too bland and watery. for me it's thumbs down. better to grow a black genoa instead.
