Indoor fig cutting insect problem

I started a cutting inside in the summer and it was growing well. It recently dropped a few leaves and a few are yellowing. I looked closer and saw some silk webbing around the edges of the leaves. The under side of the leaves have tiny mite looking things. Anyone know what they are and how to treat it? I tried uploading pics but they are too large even though I tried using a shrinking app

Sounds like spider mites.
I use a teaspoon of canola oil, teaspoon of liquid soap, teaspoon of lemon juice.
Mix with water in a hand sprayer. Repeat 1 week.
Has worked for me in the past.

I recently had a fungus gnat problem with cuttings. I'm doing cup in cup. I covered the entire soil surface and in the bottom of the outer cup with diatomaceous earth. Within a few days there was no sign of bugs. It's a natural desiccant and would imagine it would work equally well on any bug if used early enough.....

Available at Home Depot or any good nursery
