I haven't heard much about this variety this year. Is anyone still growing it? What would you rate it?!

I had one cutting that did not make it.

I read somewhere that the variety was not cold hearty, and very susceptible to cold, so I did not pursue it.

Does anyone know for certain?

I have it. Heard the same about the cold.

Cold hardiness aside! Is it reliable? How would you rate the taste?!

I grew Beall right next to Kadota for a couple of yrs. They seemed similar to me. Sweet but little flavor. Yield and precocity were good. This was in a greenhouse so don't know about hardiness. But the plant was moved outdoors to a buddies place so we'll see.

9/10. Purple skin with yellow pulp color. Not too cold hardy.
