for a quicker start try Wellspring nursery tissue culture plants.  I have had 100% success and seem to be the variety as named,maybe one exception and they grow very quickly.

I have bought a few on EBay and so far they all seem to be growing under my 2 liter jugs, haven't tried to harden them off yet.

Welcome. There are quite a few of us fignuts in the Houston metro area now. Are you growing any variety now? What would you be looking for?

I know I want the Panachee for sure and maybe some of the other LSU not purple, I already have that one.

I also need to see how much more space I can dedicate to Figs.

If you ever make it up to the north side of town let us know. I have an Alma for you, and I am sure I can round up something else too (maybe even a small Panache). I am sure some of the other member on the north side also have extras.
