I just went to their web site, they only have 8 fig varieties. Do you buy other fruit from them?

I have bought seeds from them in the past. I have no desire to buy their figs, since I have what they are selling and the source of their stock is unknown, but their fruit tree hybrids look interesting, they have a sale on all bare root fruit tree stock.

I have ordered bare-root trees from them.  Most all their Trees are Dave Wilson Nursery trees. I imagine their Figs are as well.  The tree that I received on my order was good size and lists the rootstock which is nice to know.

Their customer service does leave something to be desired in my opinion, but some folks are fine with them.  Trying to keep it brief They had delayed my order waiting on an item to come in stock, then they stated other items were OOS which angered me as I ordered in Aug. and know other folks who ordered in Dec. and received the same item, after being given misleading info for months I called and they stated the item they were holding my order for would not be coming back in stock this season and that my order never should have been held, by that time it seems they lost additional plants in my order and then when it did ship they stated they shipped 2 trees that were NOT in the order.  Maybe I just experienced them at their worst.  The $199 deal for 10 bareroot trees shipped is hard to beat for quality trees.  I am trying several of Zaiger’s interspecfic Hybrids you noted, even though they likely will not like my climate.

The tree section does mention that the bare root trees will be shipped int he Dec time period, but order now to reserve the sale price. Just was curious since they offer some unique fruit trees.

Right I ordered in Aug for their Dec/Jan delivery to try and insure I got my full order for that reason as they do run out of stock on some items early, and I did not receive the item when I know someone that ordered in Dec and did receive the same item, even though they claimed the orders were filled in order received. They even refused to ship that item the following season.

Funny they use that as their web address when the trees they are selling aren't organic and in fact when I spoke to them they assured me their fig trees have FMV. So they may have good prices but if you are trying to avoid the virus it is not the place to shop.

The climate in CA supports green growth but also any pests that like the green growth including mites, so assume any fig may have it.  Plenty of known and unknown in old collections that have not shown signs of it, hence the joy of meeting kind folks here.

GRamaley,

Curious  at least in the U.S. where you think you can purchase figs that is  guaranteed FMV free?
FMV really has nothing to do with Organic or not.

All I can do is get plants that are showing no signs. I know unless I pay for expensive tests that I can never be sure but I will do my best to keep my orchard as healthy as possible.... what I don't think is okay is not having it in your listing when you are selling. People need to be able to make informed choices. One thing a respect about a lot of the members here is that they don't try to not mention it. My comment was more about them not being totally upfront about what they are selling.
So far none of my trees show signs of FMV and I'd like to keep it that way. I do wonder if people are too quick to think any little thing wrong with a fig is FMV.
I have a place in Florida that sells fig trees done from cultures...
It is also my understanding there are places where it isn't as prevalent, like LA.
So there are options if you want to take the time for find them.
