I got this tree from BigBadBill this year and wanted to share some pics with fellow figgers. There isn't too much posted about this one that I could find. I had one small Breba off this tree early which was pretty good. It then put out three main crop Figs. The first one was stolen from me by a bird I think but the other two I enjoyed this morning. They were very good. Nice seed crunch. Complex flavors. Berry with a hint of peach. These two were hard to pull off the tree. Latex even came out of the tree. They were dehydrating nicely on the tree. Very productive tree. It has put out a third crop. Lots of Figs. I hope they ripen. Still a very young tree. #keeper

Great looking figs, I don't know much about this one either,it's supposed to be cold hardy and early from what I've read here before(cold hardy figs list by flavour topic spreadsheet- https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ihfyIwZ8l5DyVMFvTOAthQf65jn-2bRRMPGR57AKSyw/htmlview?pli=1) so with our occasionally cold weather and variably short summers it's on my 'long-list' wish list,I'll be interested to hear what else others here have to say here

The results look awesome,Definately bumped this up the wish list a bit, what zone are you growing in?

Looks great, Johnny D! I got it from trees of joy about four years ago-great Mt. Etna fig and supposedly growing in the ground unprotected in Pittsburgh. I knew I had to have it when I found it was a steel city fig ( at least growing there). I hope the JF&E black Madiera ( not) gives you some fruits this season, I think you'll really like that one!

Haslamhulme thanks for looking. I think my zone here is considered 6b.

Thanks Bill! I'll be looking forward to the JF&E fig next year I hope. All the trees I got from you are doing great. Thank you!

Thank YOU for sharing.6b,that is a great looking fig for that location.Im in zone 8a I think here, but that's only down to he fact we don't deep freeze often, season is short so need quick ripeners, how early did you find this?,I noticed those are main crop figs,we usually only manage brebas here so I'm hoping these rules quick enough to squeeze 2 crops in here

Haslamhulme I would've had the first ripe main crop last week if the critters didn't get it. The only Breba I had was picked June 15. It may be possible for you to get a Breba crop and two main crops. Hope this helps :)
