I just wanted to publicly say thanks to the member who answered my request for cuttings of one of my wishlist figs. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. I look forward to "paying it forward" when the time comes. For a newbie, who may only have a few varieties, or may not have confirmed the varieties with ripe fruit, it means the world when someone allows us to check something off our wish list and does not put a price on it or even say you owe me one.

I also had someone generously provide one of my wish list fig variety of cuttings that I had almost given up on finding, let alone having. Fig people are the best! Along with the addiction comes a compulsion to share it.

I want to thank Haroon (haslamhulme) for his generosity. When I lost some cuttings he offered and recently sent me some of his own cuttings of unknowns and I even got cuttings of Pino's Ciccio Nero to root and evaluate in my climate. He wrote a kind letter to me and detailed info about each variety. On top of that, he didn't accept my offer to pay for shipping.

Hi! I would also like to thank a fellow Canadian forum member who contacted me in early January and offered to send me some cuttings.  When I offered to pay for shipping he totally ignored my offer and just asked for my address.  What a nice surprise when I opened the package - 10 different varieties that I didn't have!  He doesn't know me and I don't know him so that makes it extra special! Thank you so so much!!! I am trying very hard not to kill the cuttings!

I have even had a member here purchase cuttings from some else so that they could give me promised cuttings. They were unable to take the cuttings themselves, but wanted to come through on their promises. They wouldn't tale "no problem" or "don't worry about it" answer, and would not take even postage from me. Really great people.
