I hadn't had time to see the updates to this thread until now, working long hours every day to get orders filled as quick as I can.  Not much of a family life right now except for the couple of times my wife has taken a vacation day off of work to help me ship.  Two Saturdays ago my wife and son were helping me and Blue was here being very generous with his time and helping me out and that was a crazy day.  My son says that "Blue" is crazy with the pace he works at.  Most days I'm alone and I continue packing in the evening after making a run to the Post Office.  Do I want to do this again next year???  No!!!  Will I?  Very likely on an even larger scale, though I may bother not to sell some of the varieties in low demand since I just won't have the room for them in my walk-in cooler.

Cuttings arrived safely and they are fantastic. Large, and void of mold.  I began the rooting attempt process and hopefully have some strong trees from these scions...

I've sold and shipped a lot of cuttings, still lots left! :)

Despite stormy weather, got several orders out, one of them was picked up by the mailman 25 minutes after the order was placed!

One long-time friend bought back a variety he had sold me 3 years ago and he lost (price was higher back then!).  Pretty hard for me to lose a fig tree here unless I run over it with a tractor or our island floods.  We're going to need a lot more rain before that happens but my orchard is below sea level and did go under water for six months back in 1972.

I don't think Falls Gold is very not rare but it is a nice fig, I like it quite a bit.  Not all good figs are rare, of course, since more and more people select the best figs to grow.

Weirdly enough there is fall gold and falls gold figs

I like all types of figs but my own personal preference is for ones with a berry flavor and some acidity, but I like to try all figs for the experience of variety.  Bakio is more of a sweet type which is nice and pleasant.  They are all good.  There is one variety which I and Neil (posturedoc) both spit out when we tasted it and it's not one I grow. :)

Was it Italian 88? "Weak, watery, and worthless"? I picked up a cutting of that by mistake at the Prusch Park scion exchange. 

At Prusch around September 2014 Neil and I tasted Italian 88, the most vigorous of the fig trees there, and it was about like eating plain oatmeal but not quite that good so we spit it out. :P

My opinion  -  the best of the I series fig variants is I-258

Maybe I should have bumped this thread earlier but I've simply been too busy.  I have sold out of a lot of varieties for this season already but still have quite a bit available.  Hope to be back again next winter with another selection if we don't get washed away by floods.

I got Lampera Preta from Harvey and it was good

My 90% varieties are from Harvey. It is blessing that we could get varieties of fig from one window.

Ordered my cuttings and had them in hand in only a few days (on the other side of the country), thanks a lot.

EDIT: Gah! Couldn't help myself, ordered more.
