Got into growing figs about 9 months ago after cycling around Rancho Cucamonga, CA and sampling figs in the neighborhood.  So delicious.  As a Canadian now living in sunny Southern California, I wondered how I might be able to grow fig trees on my own property.  So far I have about 10 different varieties that I’ve “sampled” from trees in the neighborhood/friends with a bunch more coming from eBay.

Saw a picture & description of Alma figs in Southern Living magazine last summer and got pretty excited about that variety.  Unfortunately, I received my first few cuttings when I was very new to fig propagation and they fizzled out.  Now I’d like to either buy or trade for some more.  I would be happy to purchase 2-3 Alma cuttings (paying via PayPal would be fine).  Otherwise I have the following that you can select from for a trade – not sure how it normally works, but I’m assuming we’d trade each Alma cutting for one of the varieties listed below:

1.       Flanders (3 cuttings)

2.       Panache (2 cuttings)

3.       Tena (1 cutting)

4.       Mary Lane (1 cutting)

5.       Deanna (1 cutting)

6.       Conadria (1 cutting)

Thanks for your consideration & help, Mike

Perhaps you can consider writing to Frank(FMD) and source the real productive Alma.
His Alma fruit roll is awesome. He grew up in Ontario, living in Florida.

@patriota, I've never sold a plant in my life before. I don't know how to react to this, LOL
Well, I have 5 growing ones, I am keeping the 3 best ones, that leaves with 2 smaller ones...If you wait until they grow bigger I can let you have one. Let them grow more so that are less fragile.
PM me later, I'll keep one for you.
