Luturulla tree help! I'm Puzzled.

Hi Guys

Can somebody help and tell me what's wrong with my Laturulla fig tree. It started the season great then the leaves turned yellow and brown. Then it seemed to get better but it's growing very slowly compared to my other figs and the leaves look almost burnt. Can anybody recommend what I should do. I'm just a rookie at the fig world but I'm addicted!!!

Fertilizer burn perhaps? Maybe flush the soil?

I have same rust problem with Laturulla  in ground last year, I went to nursery, and all their tree was same, I rooted a cuttings early spring, it had same rust problem and I junk it. not really sure why is this.

This year, I water it well and fertilizer it, So far, I do not have this rust problem.

I have a greenhouse pottted white marseilles which I think is the same variety as lattarula and I see similar leaf damage this year. Not seen this before. I stand the pot in a large saucer and in previous years have watered the fig enough so that afterwards there is some water sitting in the saucer. This year I have watered it less so there is no water sitting in the saucer. I am thinking water stress is causing mine and your leaf problem. Also I am seeing ripeish figs dropping. They are ripe enough to eat but they normally hang on till I want to pick them. This seems to confirm water stress.
On the plus side the figs are still sweet and juicy. I see your lattarula is in a black pot. Black pots can get very hot in the sun and you might want to think about keeping the roots cooler by ensuring the pot is covered against too much hot sun.
