Well your on fire this year. With your ripe black Madeira now this wonderful work of art. Must feel nice to get your first one. I have a pajacal rimada with two figs on it.

I have  a beautiful set of 1st leaf Martinenca Rimada's (maybe) from cuttings sourced from Marius that are approaching 5ft tall but no figs yet... I am really hoping 1 - they prove out to be real deal MR next year after fruiting confirms variety 2 - MR proves to be as delicious as it is a beautiful plant...... I also have a set of large Paratjal Rimada's from cuttings from the same source and with the same hopes.... Next year will tell the tale or crush it.... have really gotten into the beautiful Rimada's and am reserving spots for more of them as opportunity presents itself...

I have MR that I started this last fall. When the figs are real small did you see stripes? They look awesome!!

Mine went into the rooting bin about Nov 13, 2016. The plant in the pic is a trade gallon, figs appeared early (I think this may need a longer season than North Jersey can supply, thank goodness for the SunBubble). I have 3 or 4 plants, I think they all put on figs, not many, yet. The stripes appear pretty early but barely noticeable at first, just faint stripes. Mine came from Dave Serricchio.

Mine was from Dave with the purple fig avatar. If that's the same Dave? Mine is just starting tiny figs. I can't see lines yet even, but they are tiny!! Yours looks great hopefully they all ripen for you!!☺

Dave has the goods for sure for MR and countless other great varieties. His MR has been my standard of measure for that variety and driving force behind my desire to acquire the variety and the other Rimada's as well...

That is a work of art. I also have a first leaf plant and am so looking forward to it fruiting next year.

Gorgeous photos. No wonder fig collecting is so addicting!

That is such a beautiful fig. Outstanding!

Congrats!  Maybe I will get cuttings one day when the price drops (if it ever drops).

WOW! What some beautiful Figs! Thank You so much for posting them!

Beautiful looking figs!
Would love to see photos of the inside when ripe.

Anyone that got an MR from me this would be the mother plant of your tree which I won in an auction right here for the F4F foundation and the plant was donated by Marius

Then about 2 years it grew to this size

Nice job, Keith.  My fruits of Martinenca Rimada were one of my favorite this year.  I think it's the 4th year I've been growing it and it really got a whole bunch better this year.  Wish you the best of success with your SunBubble, whatever that is, LOL.

Wow I have been so good about staying away from this site but some how I keep slipping back! Dave & Keith both your trees look beautiful! And if this is anything like that Black Madeira I got Keith..I need it!! 8)  Harvey said I'm getting too many trees for my yard but I'm almost to the three (lol) that I orignally told him I was planning to get! If I prune like Dan I can squeeze ONE more in there! HA HA HA! I tHINK this will go on my list. I have been sticking to my list lately and it hasn't grown in month! I have been picky on best tasters now but this one I might look the other way due to beauty.  With people beauty is only skin deep but with FIGS..uh I will let it slide b/c I will have plenty of other figs to eat. LOL Although it is about Fall and the figs are about to go night night..posts of pictures like this make me excited and want to plan for next year! Its like being at kid at Christmas again!! Thank you guys for encouraging my craziness! lol

Worked great for early veggies. Earliest tomatoes I've ever had. Just hope it gives me at least 2 seasons.

I wonder if they have a custom size to cover 1.5 acres....

I like that Keith you could even put a couple stubborn ripening fig trees in there to extend the season as well

Tony I think the Doggal Greenhouse in Brooklyn is for sale? I think it's just big enough for what you need

That's the plan. It gets really hot in there, too hot for mid June through Aug. Early June, with a fan  inside blowing out the door, it would hit 110. Since it's officially rated to withstand winds of up to 40 mph I was waiting until the hurricanes passed.
