Thank You all! But, unless I can by some miracle? Find the funds to build a greenhouse as a perment home for my trees,,
I'm afraid I can no longer lift, and move them anymore. 15 lbs is all the Doctor says I can lift from now on.
So, I guess that's the end of my tree growing! Breaks my heart. But, what can I do?
It was so much fun while it lasted.. :)

Dan, my thoughts and prayers for your recovery are with you. As for figs, if there is anything I can do to make your life happier and more enjoyable I will do.  A hardy in ground fig tree on a southern exposure near your house where you could watch it grow would be fun. Let me know when you want to try again if possible.  God bless you.

My best to you and your health. Sorry about your trees, but there can be a gardening life after figs. Perenniels that can survive the cold in-ground, as well as summer annual veggies - even grown in pots.

Thank you for your generous offer of cuttings. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I don't need any right now.

Dan,

I pray you get through this with the comfort of God.  Always know he'll take care of you.  While it may seem unfair now, it's for a reason, and you may not know that reason right away.  Stay strong and positive my friend.

You gave me some of my very first cuttings, and I'll never forget that.  Whenever you're ready to build up your varieties again, come to me first!
