Anybody of you grows Michurinska-10 in ground? Already producing fruit in cold central europe climate.

Keeping my small Michurinska-10 in pot still, it will go into ground next spring probably. When I see your small figlets - let's all hope for warm September...

I could not wait and dug my fig immediately. I am hoping for a warm vacation and that you plant your fig quickly. ;) We will be able to compare our figs.

I also own this variety in my yard in Hungary, its till a small plant, cause I've just got the cutting about a year ago. Its growing very well and the new shoots are almost 30cm on each branches, but there is a bigger which grew almost 50cm. On my plant the fruits are bigger, about the size of a pea, and some of them are getting close to a ripe cherry.
Now the sun is shining, and the conditions are not ideal to make a photo, but at early night I will post some.

I also grow Michurinsk-10, my fig is in a pot, started as a rooted cutting from last year.
It grows well so far and next year I will move it in ground.

Looks good Maris! Maybe you could take an interior pic too once ripe. That way it can really be compared with Florea to see if it is one in the same.

This is my first Michurinsk 10 / Florea fig. It surely looks better than it taste...
First fig was small, about 10 grams, red flesh, just a hint of sweet, bland taste.

   

I hope that taste will improve next years when it will grow in ground!

And what about your Ali Pasha? Is it ripened any fig for you or not yet? By the way your fig looks very good, For me it had a great taste with a little strawberry taste, but i think they are better in August cause mines were ripenning in August..

The fig looks quite different from the one Maris posted. One has a red interior and the other amber. Xenil yours has a deep red interior like that as well?

Mine is a little bit different it has a mixed interrior, but it has more amber meat, with a little red colour.

Does anyone already has ripe main crop figs from michurinska-10 in ground?

This looks like a very promising fig for lower zone numbers,does it also have a very short ripening period?,I am in central UK zone 8a/b(probably a) so although we don't get the kind of winters which kill fig to the ground here the summer is short and the figs that perform best here are usually those that ripen well in cooler zones(the lower summer temperatures probably mean we are more like zone 6/7,just without the extreme cold).

I would like to try this fig here,does anyone have cuttings for trade/sale or know where I could get some in Europe?

Yes this is one on my list too but I can't find anywhere in the UK that has it. I am in a colder zone than haslamhulme, in NE Scotland, with a shorter season. I have a polytunnel but want to try some in the ground and then just hope for better weather than we have had this year!
