Need help with Neem oil

I sprayed Neem last year and it kinda had a browning effect on my trees! Very undesirable, I wanna avoid that like the plague this year, the directions say to mix 2-4 tbs per gallon, I wanna make it as strong as possible without any ill effects, what do you guys suggest?
Thanks

Most oil products will cause leaves SUN burn depending on sun power, I might be wrong, If you mix it stronger, After spray leaves, Do not put trees under sun for few day.

I am loser for Fig bud mites, Canada ban all long lasting pesticides, I can not win,  I am waiting for mild outdoor cold winter here with agricultural lime to clear them at the winter time.

That's what I did, I used the smallest required amount per gallon, and all young and smaller trees I put in the shade! My larger trees are stuck where they are! I did notice though that the amount I sprayed didn't leave the leaves supper oily like last year, in fact you can't tell I even sprayed anything so hopefully it will all be good, I don't get why people would use Neem if the end result always results in burned leaves? Cause I'd rather some blotchy leaves than completely burnt browned leaves!

I use 2 tablespoons of neem per gallon of water in a small sprayer for white flies, mites, etc. I only spray at dusk causing no damage with good results. If you spray during the day the neem will cause sunburn on most fig trees.
Good luck

Yes,spray in the evening.

This is another problem, During this time of year, Most fig trees are in strong vegetable growing with lots of Young / thin leaves, I sprayed my newly arrives mail order fig trees with pesticide due to fig bud mites found, After 5 weeks, It droped all leaves, not sure other people can give your good advice on this one.

I do all my spraying in the evenings, I learned the hard way on some peach trees a few years back!

I use Neem oil all the time on my plants. What I learned spray in the evening and WATER WELL before spraying.
I did learned this after burning some of my plants leaves.

What strength do u use it at? how many tablespoons per gallon of water? I really feel if there is any visual oil residue they will burn, so far today the leaves look great! And I mixed at 2tbs per gallon of water! It was the lower potency mix, let's hope it works, and doesn't burn! Fingers crossed!

I use 2 tbs of Neem Oil per gallon of water with about half a tbs of dish washing soap to mix it good. Also more oil is not good and can cause burn too.  Two tbs is very good and strong for me and I do it about every 10 to 14 days.

Ok excellent! I'll stick with that mix ratio! Overall how well do u feel the Neem works? Against mites and other issues? And thanks for all your insight and help!

Neem Oil works great for all my garden, vegetables, fruit trees and figs . It will keep everything down key is 10 to 14 days,
watered well before spraying and no spray if temp is over 90 degree F.
