All the fig on the tree are shaped weird. Lop sided
May be a trait of the 600.
Definitely maybe the best fig yet. Now i see what a berry fig is all about.

I sitting in the ac. Too hot. We need some cool air. My figs told me they are too hot. ;-) i gave them a drink of water and they shut up.

It's incomprehensible to me that someone is already eating freshly ripen figs off the tree, while I am still deciding if it's safe to move my couple of plants outside :(

Breba crop or main?  My nero600m put on exactly one breba.  I'm hoping for it to ripen late this month or early next month.  My main crop figs are still pea-sized!

Thanks everyone. Think its,a breba. All the other figs on it are about nickle size.
Hear alot about nero / vdb / negra etc being the same. I have all of them fruiting so will keep a log. Think nero has a funny shape. Seen a few other pic of them having a odd shape.

Congratulations. I have what looks like tiny figlets appearing for the first time on my second year N600. Was yours inside during the winter?
We had a very mild winter, but still a long way from ripening any figs.

Nero 600 M is not Violette de Bordeaux,however it is similar to Valle Negra(calda), but it can be different in health and vigor.
I have  Nero 600 M and can tell you it is ten times better ripening during rain compared to Violette de Bordeaux.
I have a 10 years old Violette de  Bordeaux,that i lost interest in it ,I do not even Winter protect anymore due to bad fruits ,ripening during rainy days.
However i have a 5 years Nero 600 M , and it produced fruits started second year,and i have never had a fruit to split or crack during rain,ever.
That makes the difference.

Thank you vasile, I'm glad you made this point again.  I've been reading alot lately where people think that nero 600m and vdb is the same exact fig. I know my vdb comes from nelson and his from Adriano and not edible landscape or ucd so I thought maybe my vdb was different because it does not look like my nero 600m  at all. The figs look alike but not the trees. I think nero 600m and vdb were traded under the same name like we've seen with,so many other figs in the past.

Most of these similar Bordeaux figs have been traded or sold with various names.  One fig can be exchanged under several names or you can have several fig cultivars exchanged under the same name. There's no telling what you might exactly have other than a Bordeaux fig. I have six Bordeaux plants with four names. Ultimately I will keep the two best performers regards of the name.

As I understand the original fig names in this fig group (according Hilgardia) are;

Bordeaux (syns. Angélique Black or A. Noire, Petite Figue Violette, Albicougris, according to Eisen, Figue de Bordeaux, Violette, Violette de Bordeaux, Figue Poire, Petite Aubique, Figuo Aubiquoun, Negronne).

I wonder if the noted differences in the VdB group of figs now are due to location, culture or individual plant health. 
Or does a plant change significantly over 100 years and now we have many distinct figs descendant from the original Bordeaux fig?

One thing for sure these are all excellent figs and the only risk is you might get a duplicate that you can give away or sell.

Someone told me recently in another thread that RONDE DE BORDEAUX WAS INTRODUCED BY BASS. SORRYFOR THE CAPS. LOL. SEEMS TO BE A OLD VARIETY

That's right Richie, I believe  bass introduced it to the US but no telling how long it's been in France.

So before that it wasn't in the United States?

RdB definitely came from France.  I seem to remember that Baud in France has been a long-time source for it but who knows where exactly it originated and who originally made it famous.

Well:Again,Ronde de Bordeaux,is not Violette de Bordeaux,nor is it Nero 600 M!.
These three figs are different cultivars,with different qualities,time of getting ripe,etc.
Ronde de Bordeaux,just happen to be originating from Bordeaux,region,just like Violette de Bordeaux.
That is all they have in common,nothing else.
Nero 600 M,seem to have been imported from Italy,by Planet fig owner,and that is why it is similar with Valle Negra,and is not a Bordeaux fig at all.

Another good point. I've never looked at my vdb and rdb being similar but I'm sure that some think so because they both have bourdeaux in the name.

Aubique petite as I understoid it was a bud sport of aubisque Noire, and I can say 100% that it's not VDB
