Hello! Not to hijack your post, but I am new here as well :) I've wanted a fig tree for awhile and came across this forum the other day when I finally found one of the two varieties I really wanted (Found a Celeste, was looking for an LSU Purple)! I've just transplanted it to a bigger pot, hoping to keep it alive this year and add more varieties in the future. I'll have to keep it in a pot and move it to the basement for the winter, as I know it won't survive the winter in NY. I currently am in an apartment, so my parents will be babysitting my tree this winter if I am still in school haha. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions soon, I'm looking forward to learning a lot from everyone here!
