Will try that stuff this year, when I uncover my Swiss fig tree, hoping the base gets big enough to go unprotected here in CT. was scare to try until I finally rooted a back up, if it don't die in the spring have no problem with other figs I have. Only the Swiss is hard to root, unless the hardly bark makes it tough for the cold, but also tough to root, its not what i'm doing wrong, because I have other figs rooting right next to the Swiss cuttings, and the others are shooting roots, and growing fine It's a large fruit too
