Im a new member and somewhat new to the fig environment. As a kid I remember my grandfather and his fig trees . probably where I get it from.im lucky enough to have family in italy who have access to those trees (which i was able to bring to ny) and lucky i am able to grow them in ny.my collection has grown to about 20 types (4 came from italy idk types) in about a year.my plants are young but do show alot of promise.anyways thanks for reading and hopefully if things go right there will be more of my grandfathers figs growing around hhere . Ralph,

You posses a unique ability with having family still in Italy. One always hears the saying of "location, location, location" with reality, however this also plays a huge part in fig variety origination. There are good chances many fig collectors will be watching to see what fig varieties you are able to obtain.
