Greetings to all--I'm a newly as respects figs but I've kind of gotten bitten by the bug.  I found this site after sending an order for a plant which didn't turn out so well (order never fulfilled).  In any event, I'm near New Haven, CT in zone 6.  I had purchased some cuttings in Spring for Verte Ischia so I'm watching those grow.   I've got to make sure that my hobby doesn't get out of hand.

Welcome to the forum! It's too bad the cuttings were never sent. On the plus side on this forum many members will send cuttings for postage.

Me too Phil! I've had one next to my apple tree for a few years now, but I recently became fascinated with figs I went to a series of seminars at a local garden center and one of the lessons was on fig trees. I found a website that offers a million varieties (but won't confirm my order or return my emails). Then I found this site about a week ago and I ordered my first two fig trees on ebay last night. One Rouge de Bordeaux and one Smith. I'm also worried I might get carried away.
