My palate leans more towards gluttony than sophistication. But it was delicious!

I know how you feel.
I commonly sit down and eat 1 1/2 pounds of figs.
I have excellent varieties as well as some that are having a bad year and they all go down me ole gullet. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh

Nice pic - but get a clean quarter will ya.

Is there another variety simply known as Bellone? Or is this the one and only by that name?

Hello KK,

I have this plant growing, hoping to get a ripe one. A good friend told me it is the same as Violette de Sollies. Something about a certificate of provenance on the Sollies? or something.

Anyways, congrats on the beautiful fig. It is special when the taste matches, or exceeds, the picture.

Mike

I meant to ask, do you know if they are considered the same?

 Thanks, Mike
