Can anyone put Nordland or LdA on into a rough flavor category? I had my first Nordland but it was kind of a compromised sampling... Still perhaps it tasted like a super duper sugar fig a la Celeste/Brown Turkey but better with maybe a tiny tiny splash of berry in it? No idea on LdA...

I've had one LdA from a first year tree so with that caveat I tasted mostly jam with a more subtle honey flavor. I would think it would probably be placed in the "exotic" category in the flavor categories that ascpete is working on. It's definitely a variety I am excited about as it is a relatively large, tasty fig that seems to ripen with a few weeks to spare in our area.
