Concerning the hardiness it's similar to Brown Turkey. If you keep in mind how many figs are called BT, it may be similar to one or the other. It's the variety that Adriano describes on his website as Northland.

If the eye is generally closed as in this Pix,it is not Brown Turkey. Brn Trk,i Know included DFIC 17 from UCDavis have very large open eye.
