Hi all I have had this fig tree for two years with no figs then this thing grows but I'm not sure it's a proper fig.. It has a large stem that's fairly thick . Maybe should just dump this tree?

My Col de Dame Blanc is in it's 3rd season and I will get fruit for the first time this year. Some figs take a bit longer.

Happychicken, you didn't include your planting zone in your signature, so hard to know. A photo of the fig would be good. It's probably a fig and you will need to be patient until it ripens. Suzi

Sorry I am zone 7a it was kept in my garage though during the winter. The tree is at least 4 years old though as the guy I bought it from had it for 2 or 3 years before I bought it

Col de dame has always been a shy bearer for me. This year my philosophy was 8 leaves on a limb, it gets pinched. Very helpful in adding figs.
