another ID here. This fig was gotten in a scion exchange with one of our quieter members. She got it from a house her sister was living in in Atlanta and though the house was not in a Greek neighborhood there are many people from there. Maybe or not useful information. It has a few traits in common with Marseilles VS in terms of scurfyness of the leaf and in flavor.

Similar in leaf shape and fig appearance to Hardy Chicago, Sal EL/Gene, Marseilles Black VS.  Appears to be a Mt Etna type.  Can't give a definitive ID, though.  Lack of void inside the fruit rules out Sal Corleone.

I agree with Jason, those leaves look very much like Hardy Chicago or one of it's close cousins

Thanks. Does it help to add that the brebas were quite round and very spotted?

Well, this does or does not make me happy!  I have 4 in full leaf Hardy Chicago's rooted cuttings growing, and more to come.  I have a couple rooting in slightly damp span-gum moss in a zip lock with one or two dry paper towels to absorb moisture, and I resist peeking...

That is the hardest thing.  One must resist!

Jason has me confused because i also have Marseille VS Black rooted and showing growth...

Can't wait to taste the Hardy Chicago.  The brave ones showing leaves are outside, braving the desert heat.  That fig IS Hardy!!  It appears Marseilles Black also is hardy!  Not sure about the snow, but it seems to love heat!

What is confusing?  Those figs just look generally similar to me as far as their leaf shapes fruit shape/size/exterior/interior.  No comparison on flavors.
