Right the "Temple Institute", Rabbi Ariel, R. Richmond et. all. They are putting the cart before the horse. In order to serve G-D the way he commands you would need to know the PRECISE location of the alter, which is a small area within the very location of Aruna the Jebusite's threshing floor (sold, and not taken by force BTW).

Those who built the second Temple needed a prophet to know where to build.

Secondly, the "Modern" state of Israel is an impediment, and it's hostile take over of Jewish Leadership causes the Children of Israel to sin, further delaying the redemption.

Third, if the children of Israel do not repent, the we will face the harsh prophecies and mankind will be brought as low as the Dark Ages...hence if the war of Gog and Magog happens, we will be fighting with spears, clubs, etc.

This would only occur if Humanity suffered some calamity (or a series thereof) that strips societies of most technological advances.

In any case There is no "v" sound in any original semetic language, that is why modern Hebrew imported it from the Yiddish...so Levi =Lewi.

I could write more, but this is a fig forum after all...and while we are having a conversation, I think your use of PM is most correct, so if you want to know why I Know the Haram el Sharif -El Aqsa-Baris-Antonius complex IS NOT the temple mount, we can continue there.

Still looking for Violetta Bayernfeige :) Trades anyone? How about them Brebas? :)

Newbies or for that matter, no one should be criticized for not using the search engine. I use it but sometimes I dont have the time and just want to post quickly and then wait for answers. Most forums have members who possibly are unable to participate in the outdoors as they once did and some of them love doing research and positing links. They perform a valuable service doing this.

Hijacking or Rabbit trails? I have a high tolerance and feel that rabbit trailing is fine and educational. I think it should be up to the original poster. If they want to redirect then let them say so and we should respect their wishes. But if they have no issues and probably are learning from the new direction then let it go.

Certain topics like politics, sexuality, religion, sports, and completely unrelated hobbies to name a few should never be discussed at least not here.

Hot heads and egomaniacal people should not post unless they have taken their meds! I'm fat and ugly but I dont need someone to remind me. Even diplomatic name calling isn't polite. Just state your thoughts presenting them the best way you can and leave it at that. It isn't up to you to be the authority on everything. We won't all be friends or like each other but we should not poison this wonderful opportunity we have to exchange ideas and share our hobby.

The amount of knowledge I have learned from internet research of my hobbies would have required several lifetimes to amass it all. We are truely blessed to have this resource. I'm thankful to all who post their knowledge right or wrong. It's up to me to vet it. I don't believe anyone is deliberately posting misleading information. I am also thankful for those newbies who ask the questions that have been asked hundreds of times. Why? Because for everyone of those newbies there are a half dozen lurkers who want to ask the same question but are too embarrassed to do so. It benefits and promotes the hobby.

Ok I've said enough. Now I need to go prune some muscadine vines. Oh and some fig trees too.

That's Almost as bad as some people here calling you names, just to see how Mad they can make you, for no reason, just being a  SA!!

That is a person expecting to be spoon fed.
Do not be lazy and post questions just because you do not want
to look up your own answers..
Is this not "off topic"'?   lol
Doug

@Doug It is, I agree on the Search issue.

I have let this run because the longer it runs the more obvious the issue.  Review the postings on this thread.  It really takes at least 2 to tango on hijacking, the first posts an "Off Topic" post then it is picked up and responded to and farther "off" it goes.

Several topics left, we have touched on Jon's competancy, Name calling, Searches, Beer, Adam and Eve, and Religion.  Sex and politics are missing.

I am really enjoying watching, LOL

I would disagree that it is an issue. We are talking about off-topicness in general.

Don't worry, be happy. :)

Wassup Grumpy Cat?

If anyone needs bad investment advice please let me know. :)

We are not talking about off-topicness, we are talking about the hijacking of a thread.

No, we're discussing the microscopic difference between the two.

Sorry Doug maybe I used a poor choice of words when I said "wait" . I did not mean to imply that I would be sitting around idley perhaps sipping a cold one waiting on my checks to arrive in the mail or that I wanted to be spoon fed and didn't want to scuff my nails on the keyboard. Perhaps I should have said that I will be working my full time job plus an additional 10 - 15 extra hours every week and then when I get home I'll be tending to my plants, repairing or replacing broken equipment or prepping to install my greenhouse. Occasionally I have time to get online and check the forum but here lately I just don't have the spare time. What I will not be doing is "waiting" for an answer to be spoon fed to me and I'm definitely not lazy.

It really is common for people to think their time is just more important than others.
The easy way out is to not do your own research.

Hows that for a hijack??
:)
Doug

Hijacking used to mean being carried away to a tropical location without need for a passport or a ticket. I'm up for a good hijack. Who's with me  :)

Apparently a lot of folks on this forum need to obtain more fig trees with which to occupy their excessive free time.

So is that official policy now? If you upset anyone you both have to send each other a fig and make up?

I agree. Let's start a list. Anyone with excessive free-time interested in moderating?  :)

You gotta love it!!!

Noel there is no moderation with figs.

Doug

Doug, truer words were never spoken. Any fanatic could tell you that.
