OT Capulin Cherry

I am looking for Capulin Cherry (Prunus salicifolia) cuttings or seeds. Can anyone recommend a source?

Check this out Ken,

They currently don't have any available. But you can submit your email. They will let you know as soon as they have some seeds in stock. Good luck!

I recently cut down four trees. I am now regretting my actions. :(

Here is a photo of fruit I picked from my last harvest.

Thanks for the lead.  The fruit looks good--too bad you chopped your trees down! Did you just not like the taste?

The taste was actually great. Unfortunately I had to downsize my orchard due to water restrictions in California. Had to choose over my fig trees or fruit trees. Removed about 25 fruit trees and 15 ornamental trees.

Oh how that must have hurt!

Especially with the rains we have been getting during this supposed LaNina period we are in now.

Ouch!

What was your original source--Trade Winds seeds or other seedlings, rooted cuttings or grafted? Any named cultivars? Were there any major taste differences among your trees?

They weren't as productive due to the water shortage. The flavor, if you picked them to soon they tasted sour. The drawback is fending the birds off. They have to be picked just ripe to really enjoy their sweetness. Our trees where originally grafted on to seedlings by my grandfather. He brought them down from northern California many years ago.
