OT: Some other fruit tree scionwood available

I will have a small amount of scionwood from the following fruits available this winter if anyone is interested in grafting. I'll probably have enough for 2 or 3 bundles of each, these trees have only been planted 1-2 years each. Apple - Liberty and Enterprise Pear - Summercrisp, Moonglow, and Red Anjou Plum - Methley and Stanley They are yours for shipping or trade. I'll collect the wood for cuttings after the new year, I believe they can be stored similar to fig cuttings until it's time to graft. I'm in the market for seeds from American Persimmon, PawPaw, and Indian Blood Peach or scionwood for disease resistant/low spray apples (especially GoldRush and Freedom) and pears. Kelby, I can help you out with the peach scion. Are you looking for the cling or freestone? I'm not looking for any of the things you listed, but would be happy to send them for postage. Thanks Bill, you're alright! Let me know when you're around. Nick, you're always welcome. I'm hoping for a good berry crop this year, too, as long as no more trees fall on them! And who needs wine when there are fermented raspberries! Actually, those are terrible. Andy, I understand the Indian Free Blood peach is true to seed, that's the one I'd like to get. I don't have any peach rootstock, unfortunately (I guess I could try it on the plums though...).

Kelby, I can send you some persimmon seed and probably Goldrush as well when I send the figs. I have several pears, I think you saw my fruit listing on another forum, take a look at that. The persimmon seed is still under the tree not sure how sensitive persimmon is about drying out so viability may be diminished. I will gathering scion in Jan. __________________ Phil N.GA. Good idea, Kelby. I tried my first grafts last year on pear and plum trees, had 2 takes out of 10 on each. I'm gonna hold off on further grafting this year. I can supply the following scion material this winter for postage (or for hardy fig cuttings that I don't have yet): Apple - Enterprise, Mutsu Pear - Starking Delicious Peach - Hale Haven, Encore, unknown white (was sold as Stark Early White Giant but it is not anywhere near as early as they claim, by at least a month even considering zone differences) Plum - Green Gage (no idea what cultivar, there are at least a couple around) PM me if interested __________________ Ed Zone 6A - Southwest PA --------------------------- Short wish list: CDDG, LSU Red, Dark Greek (Navid), Col Littman's Black Cross. And any cold hardy early fig.

I'll search around for your list and see if anything catches my eye. I guess there's only 1 way to find if those persimmon seeds are viable. Hopefully in a year or two I can try my hand at grafting some hybrid and Kaki scions onto the seedlings. I'm also looking for a couple more acres to plant on if anyone has some they want to trade!

I have Moonglow and Blakes Pride Pears Starks delicious and Starks Elberta Queen pears also have ichi Kei Jiro and ROSSEYANKA persimmon scion available I can provide Scion from or pay postage, or talk fig scion Looking for other Pear and Peach scion for grafting. Though, even from a graft it may or may not be vividly red fleshed in a given climate. It ranges from mostly white to dark red depending on where it grows. I can send scion, and it will likely take on plum, or I can save seed for you this summer (assuming the weather allows us to get peaches this year), or both. Let me know... One last bump in case anyone missed it and is interested, I can still collect a small amount of: Pear - Moonglow and Red Anjou Plum - Burgundy, Methley, and Stanley For shipping or trade. I'm still looking for some Pawpaw scions to graft onto my seedling Pawpaw trees if anyone has some they would trade (or I'll pay for shipping/small fee). Disease resistant apples and pears are welcome too. I'm going to making multigraft trees this spring!
