Richie: i have 2 trees.  If you want cuttings PM me during cutting season, if you want me to start an air layer just let me know.

Forum members - please note that I edited several comments / postings I made in this thread only to correct an unjust citation I made related to another forum member...

wow. I have some members working on getting me this one. Dave yours, look really happy in your environment.

The most difficult fig to ripen in my climate. Its also difficult to know the appropriate time to pick the fruit. Worth the extra effort I would say.

Beautiful figs and pics, Vinny! Good eats!

Thanks Richie and Tony.... Vinny that's some great-looking figs you got there 😀

In Adelaide weather, with our long dry summer Panache ripens perfectly. I can see in my tree so many new dormant buds that already excited for next season. Happy growing.

Aaagh! You guys are killing me with pics! I have months to go before I get a fig to eat. I was successfully resisting getting more cuttings and now you've got me wanting Panache.

Is it the same as bordissot blanca rimada  ?

Richie - Sent you a PM. I was going through my remaining cuttings this weekend, and I still have a couple of nice Panache cuttings.

According to Pon's it's a different fig

Thank you.

Dave. In your zone when do the fruits ripen? I bought a tree this January from Just Fruits & Exotics and it seems to be growing great.

So far it has been the middle to the end of September if there are big ones on the tree most will ripen but the small ones never make it Who knows with Global Warming this may not be a problem in the near future 😀

Dave... with global warming we will likely soon be eating figs and Mike's Soppresatta by the pool every January in our locations... lol.... just kidding.... January is too early for Mike's Soppressata to be ready....

Nothing like a good Soppressata and a nice glass of red and some fresh bread from Arthur Ave

Amen, John!

Tony maybe not in our lifetime but I wouldn't doubt it :-)

What was the liquid he added to the roots? It sounded like "Sea Salt" but that can't be right and is more likely a product name.... Anyone get it?

Thanks...

OK, stepped through frame by frame.... its SEASOL Liquid Seaweed Extract... available on Amazon....

Well, I started doing a little research after I received a panache start from dausername1 on ebay. Wish I would have done the research first. The ebay pic is no where close to what I recieved. It dropped its one leaf on the way here and Im not sure if it'll make it, or what it'll be if it does. Kinda bummed, I ended up killing a panache I bought last year and it looks like the one I replaced it with this year will be no good. I would not recommend buying from this seller.
The first picture is what I recieved in the mail today. The second is my first home grown fig from a desert king I got last year so at least I have a little something to look forward to this year (hopefully). Im still in the market for a panache if anyone has an extra. I can pay up front with PayPal. (Im not sure if soliciting sales is ok here. If its not, I can edit the last part out)
