PANACHE A GREAT FIG TO HAVE

I think any variety you got from dausername should be suspect as to what it actually is. I would happily send you a cutting this fall from my tree.

Well, you live and you learn. I wont make that mistake again. Thank you for the offer but KyFig has graciously offered to send me a plant. From the picture I saw, itll be the nicest looking plant in my collection. Thanks again for the offer though.

It took four years but this is the first time that fruit appears on my Panache . As with everything else, patience pays...

I guess the pic in the post above answers part of my question which is: When do the stripes on a Panache fig start to become prominent?

I can see that they start out all green in the pic above. Does it happen toward the end of their ripening? Thanks!

You can see stripes pretty early.  Long before ripening.  And stripes in the wood, too.
