Dave,

I think the fig for sale on eBay looks like Longe d aout, this fig doesn't have a long neck but could be a different strain. Do you have vashon Violette fig?

Rcantor,

Thanks , the taste was like melon, my wife said it tasted like sweet cucumber lol. The biggest one was 229.67 grams , so decent meal. I would say could eat with cheese and biscuits .

Good man, I will have a lot of cuttings available as the tree is like 60 years old. I pulled few suckers out and they are growing in a large container nicely. I did send few to a friend and I hope it's doing well.

Looks like a great fig! How cold hardy is it? I am in zone 5 and I am looking for some fig varieties that produce well (and are tasty) in colder climates.

I live in England and I believe we have similar climate to Seattle ... This is definitely a cold hardy fig as it stood near Southsea beach in Portsmouth UK where we get terrible gusty winds for more than 60 years. I don't know what zone I'm in . Hope this helps.

Peretta is renamed LDA by that Swiss nursery Lubera . I have all three but I found peretta is a bit early with their main crop . Someone said somewhere that peretta could be "Rossa di Tirani". I challenged that Lubera many times, however they never really replied . One thing for sure is that all their figs produce main crops in Colder climates. They got all their figs from a Swiss nursery called Mercato Verde. Here is the link : http://www.mercato-verde.ch/de/angebot/feigenbaeume

You can visit this nursery, they have more figs in their collection and not all varieties are listed on their website.
I find pelligrino Unk very similar to Zuchello . Hope this helps .
