Plant Creator is the real deal... I have no concerns buying from him....

I would never buy anything from him because he doesn't
show the figs.He might have great trees, etc.
It's my rule of thumb now.Besides how hard is it take a picture, just laziness.Doesnt this guy have a black ischia
for sale on eBay right now for 750. That's a little pricey for
fig plant you can't even see the fruit.

Good references from a lot of good and knowledgeable people.  It is only pricey to those that don't want it bad enough or do not have the money, the price has nothing to do with him being a good or bad seller, the buyers set the price, too high, won't sell, too cheap, sells quickly.  Do your homework on all sellers.

The Black Ischia is now $550 or best offer. Some of the leaves are yellow and maybe has some rust.
Plant Creator has great plants that I've bought from him when I started.

In my dealing with him, I think he's a professional individual.

I just found this seller yesterday. Thank God I found this forum before I buy from him. I think I will keep my money a little longer before buying from him. This is the first time I buy plant online. According to you all, who's recommended seller at eBay?

I read peoples reviews of him on both forums, before I purchased the tree. It wasnt a high dollar tree, Ive spent more on cuttings. It already has 12 figs the size of a quarter or bigger on it, and roots are great. I have 3 kids I cant afford those Black Ischia!!! All those auctions go to high for me!!!

He's got one for $750.also

Yeah thats high, but every auction Ive seen with the Black Ischia has been crazy high! It would be nice to have one but to rich for my blood.😊

Yeh,that's like 700%profit.Im in the wrong business.

I have bought from plantcreator before.  Seems like a legit seller.  However, he was selling FMV-free Black Ischia which I bought, only to learn it most likely was not Ischia Black.  It did not appear to be the same leaves as Ischia Black from Harvey.  So, I think he's trying but I have less than 100% confidence in his sources.

His trees are all true to variety bought many from him a few years ago. Be nice people. 🤗

Plant Creator is the real deal, all varieties are true.

There is another plant people have called Ischia Black that is not the UC Davis. I bought a small one this year. The seller even told me it wasnt the pricey one. I guess its a Ischia just more like the green?

Yeah there is enough ambiguity on that one that I'm sure he simply sold by the same name as what he received.  Hardly a smoking gun, but I guess I would prefer there be some clarification when buying a variety which superficially sounds like the same thing as something else.  My mistake on not checking what "FMV free" meant (hint, it is part of the name and not a declaration that FMV does not exist).

I didnt buy mine from him, so not sure about yours. It is crazy how many figs have same names or super close.

Plant creator is HooRay on the forums. I have purchased from him over theee years now. Excellent trustworthy seller and very generous also.

No knock on plant creator but how could you possibly know this esp when you live in Kuwait?

Have you grown out all his varieties and checked that they are true?

I won't want someone to say that about me. Because no one else can know. Shoot I'm still trying to figure out what I've got that's true and what isn't.

I know the $80 Ischia Black I bought last fall from a trusted seller with a "all varieties are true" type rating on the fig forums is most certainly not a UCD IB. More like a VdB only worth even less than VdB since it's actually an unknown.

Have you contacted him and asked him to make up for his mistake by replacing it? The best sellers will do that if you ask them.
The FMV free Ischia Black was an honest mistake that a number of otherwise reputable sellers made. I bought one also from a different top seller. When I told the seller about the mistake and sent him pictures of the Yellow FMV free Ischia Black, he offered to replace it with a tree of my choice, a very rare one I had wanted for a long time. Another seller made a mistake with different cuttings that were supposed to be Smith and produced a black fig. Again I contacted the seller by email with a picture of the black figs. That seller refunded my money.
It wouldn't hurt to try.

And you communicated this grievance directly with Plant-Creator?

I've bought cuttings from him in the past and it's always been a good experience, never had a problem.

just my $0.02
