Thanks Mario, sadly there isn't a good selection of figs in UK nurseries and virtually none in nurseries in Northern Scotland. I did see one last year, a Brown Turkey for just over £40 ($50) which was way too expensive for me.
I have had some nice cuttings from a couple of f4f members but they are not nearby. I have recently found a local member but he too is new to figs. Very few people here in Scotland grow them. I am trying to get figs that are not just cold hardy but able to cope with our short and mediocre summers. I bought a few small plants last year off ebay which look promising and also some nice ones from the Palmi nursery in Bulgaria.
